Welcome to the home page of the Self Assembly collaboration between the Chemistry Departments at the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Birmingham and Durham. The research was funded by an EPSRC Programme Grant from October 2010 to September 2015 and its goals included:

• Developing design rules for self assembly of complex structures from simple building blocks
• Developing new computational methods for global optimisation and rare events
• Devising coarse-grained descriptions of self-assembling systems

Although the grant has now formally ended, research outputs and news items relating to the grant will continue to be posted here as they emerge.
